This year’s display is set to feature Toy Story characters and Alvin and the Chipmunks, along with more than 100,000 Christmas lights pulsating to your favorite Christmas songs. Tune your car radio to 87.9 to sync up with the music and keep your eyes peeled for Santa, who makes an appearance between 7 and 8 PM.<br />

<p>From December 13 – 30, nightly from 6 to 10 pm you can ride through the decorated neighborhoods of Bartow in horse-drawn carriage. Prices range from $15-25 for kids and $20-50 for adults. For nine nights each December, this 55+ community opens its gates for visitors to enjoy glowing light displays, cheerful inflatables, Christmas music, and even appearances from Santa and Mrs. Claus—all from the comfort of your vehicle.</p>
<p>Now in its 35th year, the display also features a special Live Nativity and choir performance on select nights (December 19–22). The event is free, and donations are welcome to help keep this beloved local tradition shining bright.</p>

Santa and his reindeer fly high atop the Lakeland Electric office building and a tree floating on Lake Mirror plays Christmas music. Visitors to Munn Park are greeted by large toy soldiers who stand guard over the walkways and other displays.<br />

And Kids’ New Year’s Eve Fireworks make their return in 2024, illuminating the night sky with colorful bursts of LEGO<sup> </sup>bricks at the kid-friendly time of 8 p.m. every night from Dec. 26 to Dec. 31. <p>What would you say if I told you your car could defy gravity, and roll up hill all by itself? Well, it can at Spook Hill! Spook Hill in Lake Wales, Florida is a magnetic hill or “gravity hill.” Gravity hills can be found all over the world, and continue to spur folklore and curiosity as cars appear to roll up hill when placed in neutral. Not only is it one of the country’s oldest known gravity hills, it is also the only known magnetic hill in the state of Florida. In April of 2019, Spook Hill was added to the National Register of Historic Places.</p>

Years later, pioneers hauling goods from the army trail, noticed that their horses strained at the foot of the ridge, even though it appeared to be going downhill. This eerie occurrence is why they started to call this area Spook Hill.</p>
<p><em>Is the warrior chief and the alligator continuing their battle in the afterlife? Or is it a mere optical illusion?</em> The only way to know for sure is to try it for yourself!</p>

<h3>Polk State College Annual FallFest</h3>

<p>Upwards of 100 locals, businesses, and College clubs will set up booths all throughout the Winter Haven Campus with exciting, seasonal, and innovative homemade arts, crafts, and products. The event will also feature family-friendly activities such as games, haunted houses, bounce houses, shows, and presentations from local law enforcement and EMS. Polk State College clubs and athletics programs will also participate in the event to raise money for their organizations by hosting different activities and food sales.</p>
